Our Chaplain...

I met Father John Phalen through the late Past Grand Knight
John Reid of the Braintree Council. I vividly remember Father John Phalen's welcoming, non-judgmental and "re-assuring" voice. The aura of kindness and gentleness, almost the proverbial description of the "Sheepherd" tending to His flock.

Father John Phalen as our "Spiritual Beacon" is exemplary and performed his role as chaplain of our council - above and beyond the call of his office. He attended  almost all our membership/social meetings, unless he was traveling outside of Massachusetts. As many of you knows, Father John is the Chief Executive Officer of the Holy Cross Family Ministry. In a few months Father John will be moving to another country and will assume  new responsibilities and roles as representative and ambassador of Jesus, the Christ on earth.

We will surely feel the "vacuum" Father John leaves in the next couple of months and we will miss  our beloved chaplain in our next membership/social meeting in August, though we will not forget -  Father John's footprints has been planted in our minds and hearts. We will have an early winter in our council in August, we will  see spring if we find another 
Father John Phalen to lead us in our spiritual journeys, specially during the coldest nights of our lives...

Our nomination committee are in the process of looking for the next Council Officers: Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight, and Chancellor.
